Postman's Lodge on Vršič Pass is a mountain hut with history dating back to 1953, sitting at 1,688 m on Vršič Pass — the highest mountain road pass in Slovenia. The lodge stands on a sunny terrace with the best view of any hut on the pass — Prisojnik, Mojstrovka, Razor, and Jalovec spread out right in front of you.
Hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, and anyone looking for an authentic mountain escape away from the crowds find their way here. The kitchen serves homemade Slovenian food — breakfast, dinner with a choice of menu, half-board available. Accommodation in private rooms or dormitories, 54 beds total.
It's a 10-minute walk from the parking lot at the pass — just enough to disconnect from everything. WiFi, hot water, central heating. No pets, no sleeping bags — bed linen is provided.
Postman's Lodge isn't a resort. It's a hut you can feel.
